Republican Congress Members Kick Off Missouri ‘Right To Farm’ Tour

Four Congress members are touring the state on behalf of the “Right to Farm and Ranch” amendment, which would limit regulations on farmers and ranchers in Missouri.  The representatives claim the amendment will protect farmers from both the ‘bureaucracy’ and environmental groups that they claim are unaware of farming practices. Despite this support, the proposal has also seen some national opposition from a variety of organizations, which claim the amendment does not, in fact, support the farmer, but rather corporations. The proposed amendment will be voted upon by Missouri voters August 5.
