Air Force Base Getting 320 New Cyber Security Jobs

Two new cyber protection squadrons are coming to the Scott Air Force Base, bringing with them 320 new jobs and a $16 million investment in the infrastructure of the base, located 20 miles east of St. Louis. The development of the project will begin immediately, and the new positions will be filled over the next two years.

Scott AFB and Joint Base San Antonio, Texas, were selected from among seven finalists to host the cyber security forces.The mission of the cyber protection squadrons is to operate and defend Department of Defense information networks.
