After watching the majority of candidates and causes it backed win their midterm elections, the Missouri Club for Growth is hoping its best election cycle yet will translate into legislative results.
The Club for Growth, which also has a PAC, favors tax cuts and small government. The group and PAC, both funded by conservative financier Rex Sinquefield, finished Nov. 4 with a 35-2 record.
In addition to supporting numerous Republican candidates in an election that saw the GOP maintain veto-proof majorities in the Missouri House and Senate, the Club for Growth was the most active organization in the state in pushing for Amendment 10, which was approved and will limit Gov. Jay Nixon’s power to withhold certain funds in the state budget.
