Oversight committee created to look into Koster allegations

Following a story in The New York Times alleging Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster’s office repeatedly held back in consumer investigations against companies that contributed to his campaign, Missouri House Speaker Tim Jones has created an oversight committee to look into the matter.

Koster has dismissed the allegations, but Jones (R-Eureka) wanted to do a more thorough review. The House Oversight Committee on Public Officials and Government Accountability was created to do just that. The committee consists of 10 members, all Republicans.
