Treasurer seeks study on low-income housing tax credits

State Treasurer Clint Zweifel sent a letter to the Missouri Housing Development Commission calling for the organization to investigate “the need for housing and the existing density of low-income housing in any particular area.”
The letter follows last week’s meeting of the MHDC, at which commissioners approved the use of low-income housing tax credits for various projects around the state. Some commissioners expressed concern that a high density of the projects in one area could have a negative impact on the community.
