Ferguson city manager resigns following DOJ investigation


In the wake of the recent Department of Justice report outlining racially discriminatory policies in Ferguson’s police department and municipal court, city manager John Shaw announced his resignation Tuesday. Shaw had held his job since 2007. Ferguson Mayor James Knowles said in a statement Shaw’s duties will be redistributed among other city departments until a replacement manager is found. In addition, the Missouri Supreme Court on Monday assigned cases in Ferguson’s municipal court to an appeals court judge in state court. Read more from the St. Louis Business Journal
